WSCHS Welcomes New CEO (Dec. 8th, 2009)
West Side Community Health Services welcomes new Chief Executive Officer, Jaeson Fournier.
This week, Dr. Jaeson Fournier begins his role as the new chief executive officer of West Side Community Health Services (WSCHS), the largest community health service organization in Minnesota.
I am delighted with the opportunity to continue West Side Community Health Services’ 38 year history of providing access to high quality and affordable health care services in the Metro area. I am also excited by the opportunity to further cultivate the organization’s role as a safety net provider through the engagement of the Board, the Staff, and the St. Paul community, said Dr. Fournier. Being chosen to serve as West Side Community Health Services’ CEO is both an honor and a privilege.
Fournier comes to WSCHS from the Ingham County Health Department (Lansing, Michigan) where he was Deputy Health Officer. Since 2004, Dr. Fournier was responsible for the Department’s federally-qualified Community Health Center Network, its Correctional Health Unit and its Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Prior to this he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Elgin Family Care Center in Elgin, Illinois.
Dr. Fournier received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, his Doctor of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic and his Masters in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
We’re thrilled to have Dr. Fournier join our organization, said Heidi Conrad, chair of the WSCHS board of directors. Dr. Fournier is poised to lead West Side Community Health Services into the next chapter of its 38-year history of caring for the health of diverse communities. We look forward to an exciting 2010.
