World AIDS Day (Dec. 1st, 2010)
West Side Community Health Services will commemorate World AIDS Day on Wednesday, December 1.
The purpose of World AIDS Day is to call attention to the worldwide HIV/AIDS epidemic and the 33.4 million people estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS. More than 200 countries worldwide annually observe World AIDS Day.

No Tengas Miedo/Don’t Be Afraid Program will offer free HIV testing and education for walk-ins on December 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bilingual staff will offer education in Spanish or English. HIV test results will be available in 10 minutes. Free and open to the public. The first 30 people to arrive will receive a $5 gift card incentive. Gift cards are only available to patients who have not been tested in the last 3 months.
