National Homeless Person's Memorial Day (Dec. 15th, 2008)
National Homeless Person’s Memorial Day is held each year around the first day of winter and the longest night of the year.
Events are held in over 100 cities across the country to remember those who died while homeless and to stand witness to our national failure to solve this problem. A local homeless memorial march and service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Hennepin County Government Center in Minneapolis.
